Battle to save giraffe in Denmark

Animal rights campaigners in Denmark have spoken out against plans to destroy a healthy young giraffe at Copenhagen Zoo.

The zoo said it could not keep the animal, named Marius, because of European rules to avoid in-breeding, and that attempts to find him a new home had failed.
