World's largest underwater machine lowered onto seabed

With countries around the world demanding more and more energy, the race is on to find new sources of oil and gas.

One company is claiming a technological breakthrough in its attempts to recover gas supplies off the Norwegian coast.

Statoil has built the world's largest underwater machine which has been lowered onto the seabed and is expected to pump around 20bn pounds worth of gas which would otherwise have been left untapped.
