Spain train crash: PM visits scene of accident

The Spanish prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, has declared three days of national mourning following a train crash in Spain that killed at least 78 people and injured many others. He has also visited the scene of the crash.

Ceremonies for the feast of St James, whose shrine is in Santiago de Compostela where the accident happened, have been cancelled and King Juan Carlos has suspended official duties.

Speaking at a news conference Mr Rajoy said the thoughts of all Spaniards were with those affected by the accident.
