Alexander statue stokes Macedonia EU row

A 22m statue of Alexander the Great in Skopje has stoked a bitter 20-year-old row between Macedonia and Greece, potentially delaying Macedonia's efforts to join the EU and Nato.

The Greeks say Alexander was a Hellenic hero and that Macedonia is stealing their heritage.
