Icelandic volcano ash 'will reach UK soon'

Ash from a huge volcanic eruption in Iceland has been spewed up to 19km (12 miles) into the sky, closed the country's airspace, and could reach the UK later this week.

Authorities in the UK say they are better prepared than last year - when a similar ash cloud caused widespread chaos, with thousands of flights cancelled across Britain and Europe.
