Italy prepares for wave of refugees

In the last two days hundreds of illegal migrants have arrived by sea on the Italian island of Lampedusa after setting sail from the Tunisian coast.

More than 6,000 migrants have arrived on the island since mid-February, raising fears in Italy of a massive influx of people fleeing violence in North Africa.
