Germany ordains first female rabbi since 1935

Germany will ordain a female rabbi at a ceremony in Berlin on Thursday, for the first time since 1935.

Alina Treiger will have the same rights and responsibilities as her male colleagues, unlike Germany's last woman rabbi, who was forbidden to preach and merely considered a religious teacher.

Stephen Evans reports from Berlin.
