Currency dispute clouds EU-China summit

China's Prime Minister Wen Jiabao hit back at complaints about the value of the Chinese currency at an EU-China summit in Brussels.

European Union officials have echoed American concerns that the yuan is being kept low, giving China a competitive advantage in international trade.

The EU has also been pressing Mr Wen on other issues, including counterfeiting and discrimination against foreign firms.
