Coober Pedy: The Australian town with homes underground

Last month the UN announced 2014 was set to be the hottest year on record increasing concerns about global warming.

Australia - often referred to as "the petri dish" of climate change - has also had a record-breaking year in terms of temperature.

But in one small town in the Australian outback, they have found an unusual way of dealing with the heat.

Jon Donnison visited Coober Pedy, a place so hot many of the residents have built their homes underground.
