Japan earthquake: Trains derailed after tsunami

A mammoth relief mission has started in north-east Japan, a day after an earthquake and tsunami claimed hundreds of lives.

Whole villages have been washed away and at least one town has been destroyed.

Japanese television has shown aerial footage of derailed trains in Shinchi, Fukushima prefecture in north-eastern Japan.
