Extreme weather hits parts of Australia
Australia is experiencing severe weather conditions with unseasonable floods and summer snow causing disruptions.
In Western Australia, dozens of residents were evacuated from their homes in the remote town of Carnarvon, 900km north of Perth after 30cm of rain fell causing heavy flooding.
Police and rescue officials airlifted people to safety who were stranded on rooftops while many spent the night in shelters. Aerial footage shows caravan parks and plantations submerged under water.
In north eastern Victoria, a cold spell has left up to 10cm of snow in the mountain resort of Falls Creek.
