Refugees pour into Thailand after violence in Burma

Officials in Thailand say 10,000 people have fled across the border from Burma to escape clashes between Burmese soldiers and ethnic Karen rebels.

The fighting is thought to have started when rebels stormed a police station and polling booth to protest against the general election.

Refugees have been helped by Thai soldiers, who have provided assistance with food and shelter.
