Typhoon Megi 'not as damaging' as expected

Typhoon Megi, the strongest storm to hit the Philippines for several years, has passed over and is now heading to southern China.

The typhoon has caused significant damage, tearing the roofs off houses and cutting power supplies in many places.

But the BBC's Kate McGeown, who is in Manila, said first indications were that the damage was not as bad as expected.
