Thousands flee as Indonesian volcano erupts

Thousands of people on the Indonesian island of Sumatra are staying in emergency shelters as a volcano continues its eruption.

Ash and smoke have been rising from Mount Sinabung since Sunday.

Some domestic flights have been affected. It is the first time in 400 years that the volcano has erupted. The BBC's Karishma Vaswani reports from Jakarta.
