Indian businessman: 'I've paid $750 to save a bull'

A ban on bullfighting in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu could be having unintended consequences.

Owners say native species are at risk of extinction as young bulls are being sent for slaughter.

Farmers cannot afford to keep them anymore when they will not take part in the local sport known as Jallikattu.

The contest involves bull-taming where people try to pluck money or gold from the bulls' horns.

Businessman S Nizamudeen has set up a sanctuary to save the bulls and showed the BBC around his farm.
