Delhi residents buy black market water
Millions of people living in the Indian capital, Delhi, are having to buy water from private contractors because of shortages in supply.
About 20% of Delhi's population have no access to piped water and have to be supplied by water tankers.
But the difference between demand and supply is more than 750 million litres a day.
So people are turning to the illegal, so-called water mafia to stay hydrated.
Sanjoy Majumder visited the streets where the water mafia rule, and saw them replenishing their supplies.
