The Indian women breaking through the glass ceiling

New research has found the numbers of women in the board room in the UK is creeping up.

Women now account for 19% of board positions in the 100 largest listed companies.

That is still below target levels, and there are only 2 female chief executives.

But one country now making significant inroads, particularly in finance, is India where no fewer than eight major banks are led by women.
