Chinese pay respect to their pets on Tomb Sweeping Day

Tomb Sweeping Day, which falls on 4 April this year, is when Chinese people pay respect to their deceased relatives by cleaning their tombs.

Although not traditionally honoured as part of the day, many now feel their animal companions deserve the same respect.
