Hong Kong in uneasy stalemate

Thousands of pro-democracy protesters have once again gathered on the streets of central Hong Kong to call for a change to election rules set by Beijing.

Numbers had fallen dramatically in recent days, but the protest leaders called the rally on Friday night in response to the government announcement that it was calling off planned talks.

The BBC's John Sudworth reports in Hong Kong.
