Driverless cars compete in China

China has been holding its sixth driverless car competition, with the unmanned vehicles having to navigate their way through various obstacles.

The computer controlled intelligent cars are rated on different aspects of their performance such as safety, smoothness and speed.

However, the contest was not quite the thrilling race you often see in motor sport with cars driving slowly and steadily round the course.

Naga Munchetty reports.
