Thai coup: Ex-minister speaks to BBC before arrest

Soldiers have detained a prominent minister in the ousted Thai government, after he emerged from hiding and criticised last week's coup.

Speaking shortly before his arrest, Chaturon Chaisaeng told the BBC's Jonathon Head that following royal endorsement of the coup, he was ready to hand himself in.

However, he said he did not accept the coup, describing it as "an abrogation of democracy [that] will bring disaster to this country".
