Cyber sex blackmail victims recorded 'in secret'

Officers investigating an online blackmail syndicate in the Philippines have detained 58 people as part of "Operation Strikeback".

Philippines National Police chief Alan Purisima told reporters that the suspects had lured people into using video calls to engage in cyber sex, which was then recorded "unknown to the victims".

One of the group's victims was believed to Daniel Perry, a apprentice mechanic from Dunfermline, Scotland. The 17-year-old died after falling from the Forth Road Bridge last July.
