What does President Obama's visit mean for Japan?

US President Obama has arrived in Japan on the first leg of his tour of Asia.

But what will Japan be hoping for from the visit - and what will the US be looking for?

Professor Kiichi Fujiwara from Tokyo University told the BBC's Rupert Wingfield-Hayes that Japan's military alliance with the US is an important issue.
