South Korea: 'We've made progress into ferry'

Divers searching the wreckage of the South Korean ferry, which sunk on Wednesday, say they have recovered 17 bodies from inside the vessel.

The number of people confirmed to have died is now 49.

Frustrated relatives scuffled with police who prevented them from marching across a bridge - from the island at the centre of the rescue effort - to the mainland.

Jonathan Head reports from Jindo.
