Japanese aircraft carrier 'biggest since World War II'

The $1.2 billion aircraft carrier has a flight deck almost 250m long, which can reportedly carry nine helicopters.

Officials say the Izumo will be used in anti-submarine warfare and border-area surveillance missions.
