'No official explanation' for China violence

Riots have killed 27 people in China's restive far western region of Xinjiang, Chinese state media reported on Wednesday.

Police are said to have opened fire after a mob armed with knives attacked police stations and local government buildings

It was the second incident of serious of unrest in recent months, but many questions about this latest case remain unanswered.

The BBC's Martin Patience has been trying to find those answers.
