China's next generation of leaders

Xi Jinping has been confirmed as the man chosen to lead China for the next ten years replacing Hu Jintao as the chief of the ruling Communist party.

Speaking in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing this morning, Mr Xi said his mission was to "make the Chinese nation stronger and more powerful".

Martin Patience reports from Beijing.
