Nepal plane crash: Climber describes flights to mountains

In Nepal, a plane heading for the Everest region has crashed just minutes after taking off from Kathmandu, killing all 19 people on board.

Alan Hinkes, a climber who has been visiting Nepal since 1987, has used the Sita Air flight from Kathmandu to Lukla on several occasions.

He told the BBC the unique location and geography of Lukla airstrip meant crashes were more likely to occur at that end of the journey.
