Coping with cancer in China

China has one of the world's fastest ageing populations, but the country appears ill-prepared for the huge costs and economic impact of such a major demographic shift.

Currently, China funds only meagre pensions, and there are six workers paying taxes for each retiree - in 20 years' time, there will be just two workers for every pensioner.

There are also concerns about housing and affordable healthcare for all the elderly.

Sixty-year-old Zhang Ping's husband Li Wenrui has lung cancer, and is being cared for in a Beijing hospice. She spoke to BBC News about the challenges they face.
