Kabul assault: British forces involved in fight back

British special forces were involved in the fight back against the Taliban's assault on the city of Kabul on Sunday, Afghan security sources have told the BBC.

On Monday Afghan President Hamid Karzai said the attacks on the central district, where the parliament building and numerous embassies are located, were the result of "intelligence failures", especially by Nato.

Andrew North reports from Kabul.
