Black Power activist praises 49ers quarterback for NFL race protest

John Carlos, the Black Power activist famed for his raised-fist protest at the 1968 Olympics has applauded 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has been using the NFL as a platform to protest about modern day racism.

The player has continued his protest about racial inequality by kneeling as the national anthem was played before a 28-0 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Monday.
