Uganda election: Opposition leader Kizza Besigye detained

Uganda's main opposition presidential candidate has been detained following a raid on his party's headquarters, one day after tightly contested elections.

Kizza Besigye was about to hold a press conference when the Kampala site was surrounded by armed officers. A black van believed to be carrying Mr Besigye later left the grounds.

Catherine Byaruhanga reports.
