Qadri Aruna on being Africa's best table tennis player

Football, athletics and basketball are the top sports played and watched in Nigeria.

But the country also has its table tennis fans and players and a thriving club scene in the sport.

That popularity is only set to grow thanks to the amazing efforts of Qadri Aruna.

The Nigerian professional has already beaten some of the world's best from China.

At the end of the 2014, he achieved his highest ranking of 30 in the world and is Africa's best player who competes in the Portuguese League.

Qadri spoke to the BBC from his base on the Azorean island of Pico.
