Nigeria suicide bus blasts kill 27

Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan has said "the tide has turned" in the fight against Boko Haram.

He said the country's army and allies were making rapid progress in recovering territory seized by the Islamist group in the north-east of Nigeria.

But his comments came after 27 people were killed in two suicide bomb attacks at bus stations in major commercial centres in the north of the country.

The BBC's Abdullahi Kaura Abubakar reports from Abuja.
