World War One: The crucial battle for Togo
When we think of the First World War, we usually think of the battlefields and the trench warfare of Europe.
But one of the first and crucial battles of the Great War was in Africa when Allied forces invaded the German colony of Togoland in August 1914.
As part of a series looking at stories beyond the trenches, the BBC's Akwasi Sarpong reports on one of the lesser known stories of the war and its impact on the West African nation.
