South Africa after Nelson Mandela

While world leaders attended a national memorial service for former President Nelson Mandela, it was a normal day at work for the millions of workers throughout the country.

The South African authorities did not declare a national holiday.

Because of the worsening economic situation, many could not afford to take a day off work.

Mike Wooldridge reports from Johannesburg.
