Berber protesters storm Libyan parliament

Members of Libya's Berber community stormed the national assembly on Tuesday, to demand greater powers and more recognition in the country's parliament.

According to witnesses at the scene, protesters forced their way into government buildings and caused some damage to the property.

Bebers make up about 10% of the Libyan population and many are angry that only two seats have been reserved for their community on the constitutional commission.
