Looting and tension in liberated Timbuktu

French-led troops are trying to consolidate their position in the historic Malian city of Timbuktu after seizing it from Islamist extremists.

The BBC's Thomas Fessy says feelings of enthusiasm and jubilation that met the arrival of French troops have been replaced by tension and desire for revenge.
