Nigeria's Boko Haram 'increasingly ambitious'

Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram has said it carried out gun and bomb attacks in the north-east of the country on Saturday, in which at least 63 people died.

Nearly all of the fatalities were in the town of Damaturu, where a suicide bomber attacked police headquarters.

The group, which wants to overthrow the government and create an Islamic state, says it was also behind the bombing of the UN headquarters in the capital, Abuja, in June.

Daniel Griffiths reports.
