UN warning as famine declared in parts of Somalia

The United Nations says famine will spread across Somalia within two months unless the international community sends more aid to the region.

A substantial aid operation is already under way with supplies arriving in neighbouring Kenya.

But the UN is asking for an extra £185m immediately.
