UN voices fears of Africa famine amid severe drought

The UN's humanitarian aid chief Baroness Amos has called for urgent aid to be sent to eastern Africa, to try to prevent a famine which could affect millions of people.

Aid agencies say that the Horn of Africa is being hit by the worst drought the region has seen in decades.
