Nato strikes 'near Gaddafi compound'

Nato planes have launched what appear to be the largest air attacks of its campaign so far on Libya's capital Tripoli.

The BBC's Andrew North says there is a large plume of smoke rising from the direction of Libyan leader Col Muammar Gaddafi's Bab al-Aziziya compound.
