Historian Peter Frankopan: Widespread disease is not new

The response to the coronavirus crisis has been confused in the West because people have no memory of past pandemics, says Peter Frankopan, the historian and author.

He told Hardtalk's Stephen Sackur: "Our ancestors all lived through big pandemics some of which were much more lethal than coronavirus".
