How an Australian MP discovered her roots

Linda Burney, one of Australia's first Aboriginal members of parliament, was the child of a white mother and and an Aboriginal father.

Raised by white relatives of her mother, she embarked on a five-year search for her father when she was in her twenties.

Their eventual reunion brought more than just a revived relationship with him - she also found a place in the Aboriginal nation too, she told BBC World Service.
