Patriarch Kirill meets new flock, of penguins

Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill has flown to the Antarctic to say mass at a scientific research station, a trip his aides said was intended to show his church has global reach.

After the service, Patriarch Kirill headed to the shore where he was seen strolling among penguins. He was accompanied by scientists during his visit who presented him with information on the animals and their behaviour.
