Dozens killed as truck bomb targets Libya police training academy

A truck bomb had exploded near a police base in western Libya, killing at least 50 people and injuring hundreds more.

It marks the worst bomb attack in the country since the fall of Muammar Gaddafi five years ago. There have been no immediate claims of responsibility, but it comes amid rising concern that Islamic State militants are gaining ground in the country.
