Hollande praises security forces in speech on Charlie Hebdo anniversary

The French President has praised members of the security forces for protecting the French way of life, in a speech to police on the anniversary of the Charlie Hebdo killings.

Francois Hollande warned of the continuing terror threat, but promised to strengthen the security forces and give them more powers.

Seventeen people died in January last year when gunmen targeted the magazine and a Jewish supermarket.
