‘Accountability and transparency are key’

The Thai army is facing allegations of corruption and mismanagement over the construction of a park in honour of the royal family.

It comes at a sensitive time as Thailand prepares for the day when Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn succeeds his ailing father, King Bhumibol.

Thai government spokesman, Major General Werachon Sukondhapatipak, explains why an independent investigation into the allegations surrounding the park has not yet begun.
