Fifa 2026 bid postponed amid corruption allegations

The bidding process for the 2026 football World Cup has been suspended because of the corruption allegations at Fifa.

Fifa's Secretary General, Jerome Valke, said the process to choose a host could not go ahead while the awarding of the 2018 and 2022 tournaments were under scrutiny.

He also took the opportunity to deny links to bribery allegations.
