Queen opens meeting to discuss royal succession change

The Queen has opened the 21st meeting of the Commonwealth heads of government in Perth, Western Australia.

Leaders are expected to agree historic changes to the laws of royal succession, granting daughters equal rights to the throne.

Also on the agenda are climate change, economic growth and human rights issues - including the decriminalisation of homosexuality in numerous member states.
